A Waltzingmouse Christmas

If you haven’t already noticed, Waltzingmouse Stamps is getting geared up for the holidays!  A brand new set, Alpine Christmas, was released a week or so ago, and today is the first day the design team is sharing projects using the set, along with the new dies now available at WMS! We have several days of festivities to get you in the holiday mood!

This first card uses one of the terrific sentiments included in Alpine Christmas.  I just love the combination of fonts in this set and I thought it would be a great choice for the chalkboard look.  I embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder and added “chalk” using white pigment ink and a white colored pencil for highlights and shadowing.

The background paper is flocked!  I love this paper and I’ve hoarded it for years.  Sadly, this is one of my last pieces, but it was worth it…lol!

You’ll notice the holly embellishment on this card.  I created it using the new Holly Sprig die now available at Waltzingmouse Stamps.  It coordinates with the Festive Foliage set and makes a great addition to any holiday project!

My next card uses what could possibly be my favorite stamp included in the new Alpine Christmas set. It’s this adorable snowy little scene:

On this card I went for a snow globe look, stamping a snowy scene on a round piece of cardstock. I sued Copics to color the sky and trees.  The little house has dormers, but I got a little excited with my glue and glitter and now it's a roof loaded with snow!  The background on this card was stamped with two different shades of blue using the snowflakes included in the new set.  I’m pretty fickle about my snowflakes and I consider these to be just perfect!

And you can't make a holiday card without some glitter!  And this one had a ton of it, from the snowflakes to the snowy hills, everything got a good dusting!  It's so hard to see that in photos, unfortunately.

Make sure you stop by and visit the rest of the design team today.  They will not only feature the new set, but you’ll get a glimpse of more new dies!
