Waltzingmouse Stamps Release Day Blog Hop

Today is release day at Waltzingmouse Stamps!  And you know what that means, right?!  Well, first of all, nine new wonderful stamp sets are now available to purchase!  And secondly, the design team is celebrating with our usual release day blog hop.  If you came here from Lynn Mercurio’s blog then you are right on track.  If not, please start at Claire’s blog so you don’t miss out on anything!

I was thrilled to see that Claire had included a berry stamp with the Simple Sprig set...she is so smart!  I had already thought of a Christmas card when I saw the sprig stamp, but the berry stamp sealed the deal! The sentiment is a favorite from Cottage Christmas. I kept things simple on this card, but did add Glossy Accents to make those berries come to life:

This next card manages to use three more of our newest sets:

The Zig-Zag Backgrounder is big enough to cover the entire front of my card, making re-inking and stamping a second or third time unnecessary.  Love that!  The ship wheel, sentiment and anchor are all from Ocean Bound and the subtle rope detail on the tag is from Tying the Knot.

By the way, am I the only one who didn't know that it's literally called a ship wheel?!  I mean, that is what it is...but it seemed like it should have a more exciting name, you know? Alas, I guess I'll just stick to the stamping!

That's it for me today! As usual, there will be a prize of a stamp set of choice from a random drawing from comments left the design team members’ blogs. You will have until August 12th at 11:59 PM (GMT), 5:59 AM Central, 3:59 AM Pacific and 6:59 AM Eastern to leave comments. The winner will be posted on Claire’s blog on August 14th.

Next stop on the hop is Sandie Dunne! Make sure you pay her a visit and thanks for hopping along with us!
