WMS May Release Inspiration

Hello there!  It has been a long time since I’ve posted; the month of May went by in a blur!  But today I’m here to share a little inspiration from the Waltzingmouse Stamps May release!  There were two wonderful sets released last month:  USA 1776 and Country Labels 4 and both have coordinating cut files, too.

The images in the USA 1776 are pure Americana!  I went for a clean look using only gray, white and red.  I love the font combinations in the sentiment and the firework stamps are so fun to use!

This next card is for my daughter's teacher.  With the school year nearing an end next week, this card and a little gift will let her know how much we appreciate her:

I used the leaf stamp included in the Country Labels 4 set and only inked the bottom portion to make an apple stem.  I then added a red button for the apple, of course!  The black cardstock is my "chalkboard" and the lines were stamped by selectively inking one of the border stamps included in Heirloom Patterns:

Now, I’m not the only one sharing a little inspiration today.  Make sure to stop by and visit the wonderfully talented Renee Lynch to see what she’s been up to!  And have a terrific day!

Beautiful creations, Jennifer. Love the great contrast of the black and red on your labels card with that cute button!

Great job on your 4th of July card. The red and white with the touch of gray looks amazing especially with that red & white twine. Awesome job on both.

I especially like the teacher card. Great colors and the white ink on black paper is perfect. Though there isn't a single black board at my daughter's elementary school!

both are great and I really like how you used the sentiment on the teacher card as a chalkboard border along the bottom.
