Waltzingmouse Stamps March Release Sneak Peek: A Good Egg

Hello and welcome to the first day of Waltzingmouse Stamps sneak peek for the March release!  I’m especially excited about this release because I’ve been itchin’ to create some bright, cheery projects to get me out of the winter doldrums!  Today we are sharing peeks of a super cute set, A Good Egg.

First, let me tell you that I made no fewer than nine projects with this set before I made myself put it down!  I am sharing several today, but the rest will have to wait for a post in the near future!

My first project is an Easter gift for my daughter. I prefer not to give her a lot of candy, so I made a little notebook and bookmark to go along with the yummy malted eggs:

So I will tell you now, do yourself a favor and buy the coordinating cut files for this set!  It makes a world of difference and will transform your projects (that’s part of the reason why I couldn’t stop stamping!).  I used an ordinary scratch pad from the office supply store to create my notebook.  I simply covered it with cardstock I stamped first with the background stamp from Gingham and Co.  I added a piece of cardstock that I cut to resemble grass:

Isn’t that little chick so cute?!  And what could make this project better than a blue glittered pencil?  Next is the bookmark:

I used a die to make the bookmark and stamped and embellished it much the same way as the notebook.  I added an eyelet and twine to finish it off.  And, last but not least, a little embellishing for a sweet treat cup:

This would also be adorable for cupcakes, of course, but if you aren’t baking you can also fill your cupcake holder with Easter grass and candy, as I did here. And how about another Easter card?

What I love most about this card is the slightly masculine feel to it.  I created the basket by using the egg and egg frame from the set of cut files that coordinates with A Good Egg.  I had some wired ribbon that worked perfectly for the grass and I just added some goodies, along with the world’s smallest chocolate Easter bunny!

And, just one more card to show you that chicks aren’t just for Easter!

How about a sweet baby card?  The sentiment is perfect for this!  I just added a nest that I made from a half circle of kraft cardstock and an egg that I cut to resemble a cracked shell. I tell ya, a good pair of sharp scissors goes a long way!  And, since I was undecided, I made a sponged cloud background for my baby bird.  Feelin’ like spring already…

Whew!  That was a lot, I know, but thanks for sticking with me! I can’t wait to see what the other design team members have to share today.  And another warm welcome to our new team members…check out this team!
