Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party

Today is the first Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party of 2013!  And this year is starting out with some exciting news!  Waltzingmouse Stamps is featured on the Moxie Fab World blog today!  Make sure you check out the post and enter to win some terrific stamps!  Now, onto today’s post:

The theme is love/hearts, what with Valentine’s around the corner.  I actually really love creating for this holiday.  There are so many fun possibilities.  (You'll have to excuse the poor photos today - it was quite late when I photographed my card.  But I couldn't miss the party!) I kept this card pretty simple because I intend to give it to my husband.  The bow might have to go...it’s just so darn hard to not add one! I used My Heart for the sentiment and heart shape.  I stamped it off the card just a bit for something a little different.

The plaid was created using two different border stamps from two sets: Heirloom Patterns and Pic-Nic Patterns. I stamped them both on the diagonal using two shades of pink and chocolate brown.

Thanks for joining me today and have fun at the party!

Oh Jennifer, you have created such a lovely card for this month's blog party. The plaid is divine and the way you used your sentiment to intersect with the heart looks so cool. Great job.

I was wondering where I could buy that patterned paper...SO excited to hear that you made it!! It's so gorgeous, Jennifer! Love the little off-centered heart...and I say the ribbon stays. It's too pretty to take off and the bold black and white dots makes it seem manly enough in my book:)!!
