Several months ago I resigned from my design team position at Purple Onion Designs, but I asked Michele to consider me for guests posts or other special occasions. Well, she did just that recently when she sent me some adorable new stamps from Stacey Yacula's The Sweetest Season stamp collection. And, lucky for you, you can get these new stamps, along with all others, for 25% off now through Sunday, December 2! Take a look:
This little guy is Berry, and I think he may be my favorite in the collection! I stamped him, along with some snowflakes and a sentiment from the collection, onto Kraft cardstock. I used a Q-tip and white pigment ink to color him in and to add some snow along the bottom of the card. All other parts were colored with Copic markers. Doesn't he just make you smile?
Next up is a little treat perfect for your favorite teachers, neighbors or co-workers. I created a cookie holder out of a 6 x 6 inch red envelope. I used my Spellbinder dies to cut out the center and add a scalloped border. I slipped in a piece of acetate for the window.
This happy little elf is Elwood and his hat and trim look almost real once I added some Liquid Applique and heated it with my heat embossing gun. Once again, the snowflakes and sentiment are also from the same collection. I added some glitter to make his candy cane look like a real sugary sweet:
And, lastly, a fun little stocking stuffer for anyone on your list:
Next to snowmen, penguins are one of my favorite things this time of year. And Filbert makes for an adorable touch to this little notebook. I created this using a grand Spellbinders die, cutting it in half and adding pages before I bound it with my Bind-it-All. Filbert was colored with Copic markers and I added more Liquid Applique to his furry hat:
I hope you'll check out all of Stacey's new stamps, as they are just too adorable! And you can see more samples from the design team on Michele's blog here. And for more great inspiration, visit Stacey's site to see a true artist at work!
Have a great weekend!
