First up, a holiday photo card that incorporates a picture of my favorite little cowgirl:
This is a photo taken at Halloween several years ago. It's an all time favorite and I couldn't resist using it on this project! I started by stamping the card base with one of the large star stamps included in the Yonder Star set using white ink. I then spritz some Tattered Leather Glimmer Mist on the card to give it both age and shine.
The strip along the bottom is a piece that was stamped using the Yonder Star Background and embossed with clear embossing powder. I love that it's a subtle, distressed texture that really adds to the western theme of this card. And a little button twine also helps!
Finally, the sentiment from Yonder Star was stamped onto a piece of kraft cardstock that had been embossed with a woodgrain embossing plate. I added foam dimensionals to make it pop up off the card.
This next card is completely different and really showcases the Yonder Star Background stamp:
I love that this background stamp is large enough to stamp the entire front of a card! And I love that it resembles a quilt pattern, making this quite a versatile stamp. I stamped another large star from Yonder Star, cut it out and trimmed it to align with the side of the card. The sentiment is from Yonder Star and is such a very sweet one that could be used for many occasions.
