Waltzingmouse Stamps Sneak Peek Day 1: Yonder Star and Yonder Star Background

Hello and happy Tuesday!  I’m so excited to be here sharing the first day of Waltzingmouse Stamps sneak peeks! Eight new sets are being released on November 2 and I’m pretty sure you can guess that there just might be a few holiday themed sets included in the mix!  Let’s get started!

First up, a holiday photo card that incorporates a picture of my favorite little cowgirl:

This is a photo taken at Halloween several years ago.  It's an all time favorite and I couldn't resist using it on this project!  I started by stamping the card base with one of the large star stamps included in the Yonder Star set using white ink.  I then spritz some Tattered Leather Glimmer Mist on the card to give it both age and shine.

The strip along the bottom is a piece that was stamped using the Yonder Star Background and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I love that it's a subtle, distressed texture that really adds to the western theme of this card.  And a little button twine also helps!

Finally, the sentiment from Yonder Star was stamped onto a piece of kraft cardstock that had been embossed with a woodgrain embossing plate.  I added foam dimensionals to make it pop up off the card.

This next card is completely different and really showcases the Yonder Star Background stamp:

I love that this background stamp is large enough to stamp the entire front of a card!  And I love that it resembles a quilt pattern, making this quite a versatile stamp.  I stamped another large star from Yonder Star, cut it out and trimmed it to align with the side of the card.  The sentiment is from Yonder Star and is such a very sweet one that could be used for many occasions.

Aren't these sets just great?!  Join me in visiting the other design team members today to see what they have in store using these two new sets:

Jennifer both your cards are wonderful. The little girl in the first card is so precious! Your card you made to share that sweet picture is great. It's beautifully done, but doesn't take away from her. I love that. Your second card really showcases the big background stamp I especially love how you set the sentiment on that beautiful star. So nice!

You always amaze me with your creativity, Jennifer! I adore the way you incorporated a photo into your holiday card, it works so perfectly. And your second card, with the star trimmed off the edge is so stunning! That little detail really did it for me - just love it!
