Waltzingmouse Stamps August Release Sneak Peek: Day One

I hope all of you are ready for some major eye candy for the August Waltzingmouse Stamps sneak peeks!  I mean, with nine (nine!) sets releasing August 24 there is so much to see!  Today the design team is sharing four of the new sets:  Vintage Garden Produce, Vintage Garden Flowers, Vintage Seed Packet and Vintage Garden Apple Blossom Seeds.  Are you ready for some summer vintage-y goodness?!  Grab a cuppa and let’s get started!

I found lots of fun inspiration online, as usual, and the wheels started turning.  How about a simple yet beautiful gift for a friend?

A little Kraft bag got a transformation with some patterned paper from SEI and the gorgeous Vintage Garden Apple Blossom Seeds stamp. This is a single stamp, so all you need to do is ink up and go.  I chose to color it with watercolor markers and a blender pen to keep the image soft and faded.  The blue background was created with a Copic marker and colorless blender pen.

The sentiment is from Vintage Seed Packet and was stamped on a chipboard double ended tag.  Check out this wonderful font and the shadow included!  It's perfect!

Inside this bag is a little gift for a friend.  It's just a simple bottle of lotion, but with some wonderful stamps and embellishments, it's a truly special gift.  It's all about the presentation!

Instead of stamping the single apple blossom seed packet again (like I did on the bag), this time I used just the apple blossom image from the Vintage Garden Flower set.  I love having this versatility and I think the image itself is so beautiful that you really don't even need to color it.  And it allows the sentiments to shine (two that I combined from Vintage Seed Packet):

And now, for something completely different!  As I was using these sets I noticed how the fonts reminded me of those used for subway art or chalkboard art that is so popular right now.  So I created my own mini piece of art:

See what I mean?!  I managed to use at least one stamp from all of the vintage garden stamp sets and simply stamped them one on top of another.  I was able to fill in any blank space with the wonderful bits Claire always includes in her sets.  I just love all of these fonts together.  It makes me happy!

I'm telling you, I could do a whole week on these vintage garden sets along!  I've only scratched the surface, so you better make sure you stop in and visit the other design team members today:
