Waltzingmouse Stamps May Release Sneak Peek: Compact Family

Are you enjoying the sneak peeks for the May Waltzingmouse Stamps release so far?  Well today the design team is sharing another follow up set that will fast become a favorite called Compact Family.

As you may have guessed, this new set is a follow up to Compact Sentiments.  With Mother's Day fast approaching I got to work on a card:

When I say this set is packed, I mean it!  There are stamps included for various family situations, including foster,in-law and step.  How hard is it to find those titles included in a stamp set?!  Well Compact Family has it all!  I started this card with Anya's wonderful Heirloom Patterns set, using the small houndstooth pattern.  The top was stamped with a sentiment and small roses from Roses in Bloom.  And there is just something about pearls and houndstooth that seems so right to me!

This next card is something totally different and fun:

One of the wonderful things about Compact Family is that it's easy to personalize your cards for any occasion.  For this one, I used a sentiment from Compact Sentiments and added the word "friend" from Compact Family.  The chevron pattern is from Off Beat Backgrounds and the elephant is from yesterday's new set, Half Pint Heroines. I only stamped part of his body, cut it out and tucked him in behind the sentiment.  I couldn't resist adding some polka dots with my blender pen:

Love both of these cards Jennifer - really like the combination of sentiments from two different sets on the first one and that sweet grey elephant on the second - too cute!!

The first card is so elegant. And I love the simplicity of the second, especially the tone on tone base.

Can't wait to see the stamps. This is something I don't have in my stash and it will find a welcome home. Nice cards too.

That first card is so PRETTY, Jennifer! I just love how you paired those sentiments and stamped the rose background. I am bad at embellishing bows, and you made me want to try again :). The colors are just swoonworthy...oh yeah, and the houndstooth...LOVE! Don't even get me started on the cuteness that is the elephant peeking around the sentiment...with polka dotty ears! Fantastic projects!!

There are those yummy colors again! Love the roses with the houndstooth, and the way you built you sentiment. Your elephant peeking out from behind the label just awesome! Love him!
