Waltzingmouse Stamps Release Day Blog Waltz

Today’s the day we’ve all been waiting for!  Nine (yes, nine!) sets release today. The design team is having their usual release day blog waltz.  You’ll want to start at Claire’s blog if you haven’t already so you don’t miss anything.  Today the design team is sharing more projects with the last two sets:  Paris Nouveau and Labels 25

My ten year old niece, Madeline, has decided to redecorate her room in a chic Paris theme.  I knew right away when I saw Paris Nouveau that I would just have to make something for her to accesorize her new room.

I have a thing for office supplies.  Notebooks, journals, pens, pencils, you name it.  Whenever I see them on sale I feel the need to scoop them up and save them for special projects.  This journal was a clearance steal of a deal.  I even found coordinating striped pencils!

I loved the black and white damask design as is, but I needed to cover up the design on the front cover.  I simply stamped a white piece of cardstock with a number of stamps from French Country and Paris Nouveau.  I arranged them on a large acrylic block and stamped away, filling the sapce.  I stamped once on scrap paper first, then on the cardstock so that my Eiffel Tower would really stand out:

I added a very big, very girly aqua bow and a tag using one of the frames from Labels 25.  I don't yet have this die, but it was a very easy shape to cut out by hand.  I combined sentiments again to make a custom tag and added a few rhinestones:

And inside the journal, another great stamp included in the Paris Nouveau set which was just perfect for this project:

I have so many more ideas floating around for these two sets!  They are gorgeous and have a ton of detail.   With nine new sets all at once I'm not ready to put any of them away just yet; I've only scratched the surface!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the past few days as we’ve shared our excitement over the new sets.  Claire is such a talent, isn’t she?  And how about Anya?  Her Heirloom Patterns set is so much fun to work with; I can tell it’s going to stay out on my craft desk on a regular basis!

Before I go, please remember to leave comments on each of the design team members’ blog posts today.  Claire will randomly select a winner from the comments and one lucky person will win a set of their choice!  You have until March 3, 2012, 11:59 p.m. to comment (5:59 a.m. Central, 3:59 a.m. Pacific and 6:59 a.m. Eastern).

Thanks for stopping by!  Next stop on the waltz is the talented Belinda Chang Langner!
