Happy February! Whoa...can anyone tell me where the heck January went? We have been busy with all sorts of random things and the month just flew by. Let's just say 12 inches of snow followed by an ice storm can really cause a lot of problems! Let's move on to warm thoughts of hearts, pink and sweet love notes, shall we?
This little mailbox is a project for SEI using their new Promise Me collection, which I ab.so.lutely LOVE! The more I use it, the more smitten I am with it. It's such a pretty, delicate and feminine line (I can't wait to share with you the rest of my projects!). In my craft stash was a little pink mailbox I bought at the dollar store many moons ago. I dug it out and gave it a makeover, covering it with all sorts of pretty patterned paper from this collection. I used stickers to cover the edges of the mailbox lids and sweet ribbon and embellishments to add some pizazz to the little flag.
And what's inside, you ask? The Sweet Talk perforated sheet from SEI is perfect to make simple love notes. This mailbox went to my 7 year old daughter and we'll enjoy passing notes back and forth to each other this month. It's also a great way to work on creative writing skills!
My love notes were stamped with images from the Simple Valentine stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I can't help but to think "pinkalicious" when I see this project! Perfect for my little girlie girl!
Hope you are having a great week. I'm happy to say that mine is moving along quickly and the weekend is calling my name! Time to make more Valentines...
