February Waltzingmouse Stamps Sneak Peeks - Day 2

I’m back today with the second set of peeks for the February 29th Waltzingmouse Stamps release.  Today the design team is sharing two terrific sets:  Nordic Spring and Florentine Frippery.  I’ll start with my inspiration for today’s projects:

My first card was made for my husband's co-worker who just had her first baby:

It's a little baby sweater! If you like Nordic Winter, just wait until you see Nordic Spring!  I used my Silhouette digital cutter to make both the sweater shape and the hanger.  I actually used a onesie shape and altered it to have a straight edge at the bottom.  I attempted to give the sweater some texture by embossing it with an embossing folder and stippling a little ink after stamping the knit border:

The frame is from Frame-It and the sentiment is from L'il Buddies.  I still adore both of those sets and love mixing and matching them with my new WMS sets.

So...are you ready for Spring?

I sure am!  And this nice, big butterfly from Nordic Spring really got me in the mood to make a bright and cheery card!  The sentiment is from Florentine Frippery and is quite original.  I mean when was the last time you saw a card with "forsooth" on it?!  I kept everything on this card simple, coloring my butterflies with my Copic markers and adding just a slight accent with a white gel pen:

This next card is one of my favorites.  Claire's artwork on this set is just gorgeous:

I embossed the frame using white embossing powder on cream cardstock.  It made it quite hard to see for coloring, but I wanted a very soft look.  Once I inked the edges with aqua ink, the design really popped and I could see all of the beautiful detail in the frame.  The center was cut out first using an oval shaped die.  I stamped the sentiment on another piece of cream cardstock and popped up my frame with foam dimensionals:

Verily...how elegant!  The card background was stamped very lightly with one of the border sets included in Florentine Frippery.  The border stamps, as usual, are nice and long.  One of my favorite things about WMS stamps!

Again, be sure to stop by and visit the other design team members to catch a look at their projects for these great sets:
I hope you’re enjoying all these terrific projects!  Come back again tomorrow for another fun filled day!

Oh such a sweet baby card, Jennifer! I love the little hanger with the Nordic sweater :) Your Frippery card is absolutely stunning, love the soft pastels and the oval window. Your butterfly card is a bit of sunshine on a horribly grey Monday after spring break...just what I needed to see to set my day off right ;)
