Hello and welcome to the first day of sneak peeks for the February Waltzingmouse Stamps release! It’s been a while since we’ve seen new WMS stamps and Claire is definitely making up for lost time! She is releasing NINE amazing new sets on February 29! To kick things off, the design team is sharing peeks of three of those new sets: French Country, Chicken Wire and Make Your Mark. I thought I’d start by sharing my inspiration for today’s project:

Our family has been trying hard the past few weeks to try new, healthy recipes. What better way to encourage me to seek out new recipes than with a pretty new recipe book to store my collection:
My first priority was to make a book that would allow me to take the recipe cards in out and easily. I made my front cover using two of the beautiful border stamps included in French Country. I colored in the designs with Copic markers and used very pale colors to keep the look light and airy, similar to the kitchen photo, above. I laminated both the front and back covers, including the label on the front. I laminated that piece separately and adhered it using glue dots:
For the recipe cards, I created a simple design on my computer using Microsoft Word. I created two designs - one with space along the side and one with a circular space at the top. This was, of course, so I could do my own embellishing with these wonderful stamps!
Here's one using the smaller scale stamp included in the Chicken Wire set:
And a few more using French Country (look, a chicken!):
Once the recipe cards are filled out, I'll laminate them, too. This will add the extra protection I need in the kitchen. A simple little book like this would make a great gift, too. And I have just the right stamp to use from Make Your Mark to make a beautiful coordinating tag:
And another stamp from Make Your Mark will let your recipient know just where this came from:
