Happy Thanksgiving!

A very happy Thanksgiving to my U.S. friends and family!  I've been absent on the blog lately and now I have a bunch of stuff to share with you!  So here I am, on the big day, getting in all those Thanksgiving projects that I neglected to share earlier in the month.  But I have to keep it short; I have a pecan pie calling my name and it won't make itself!

First up, pop on over to the SEI Lifestyle blog to take a look at two projects I made for them this month.  Although these have a fall/Thanksgiving theme, they can certainly be used any time of year.  Especially that cute little owl!

Second, I have several projects to share that I created for Purple Onion Designs.  A few cards are up first, using the terrific Thanksgiving Noteblock:

I love creating for this season.  All the rich colors and fun patterns.  And my little leaf punch that I only get out this time of year!  I colored my noteblock with a Copic marker, but used the colorless blender quite a bit to distress it and create a striped pattern:

This little card makes me smile every time I see this Tom Turkey!

The noteblock on this card was stamped twice in Antique Linen distress ink and layered on the card.  I then stamped it a third time in Dark Chocolate ink to add the sentiment.  Tom was stamped right onto one of the noteblocks and colored with Copic markers.

And, finally, a special Thanksgiving project for Purple Onion to showcase some of my favorite fall photos.  My first attempt at an envelope accordion album:

I used kraft envelopes for my album and you can get a great tutorial here, on Heather Nichols' blog.  I used My Mind's Eye patterned papers from several of the Stella Rose collections.  POD stamps include the new Pumpkin Frame Doodle set.  And if you haven't checked out the new stamps lately, you really should!  Lots of wonderful, fun things for the holidays.  I can't wait to ink up the new ones I just received!

Well, I'm off to prepare for our holiday.  I hope you all enjoy time with friends and family today.  I am so grateful for all of you who read my blog and take the time to reach out to me with your comments, questions and show of support.  That includes my terrific family, friends and perfect strangers who are some of the kindest folks I know.  Thanks to you all!

I am impress with your turkey projects. Thanksgiving concept that you present here is quiet interesting. I am inspired by this.
