If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll know I make a non-edible Halloween treat each year. Mostly for my nieces and nephews, but also a few go to co-workers, teachers, etc. This year I'm making witch hat pencil toppers! These are super easy to make. It started with a witch's hat that I downloaded for my Silhouette digital cutter. I sized it to be just under four inches tall. This was big enough for some detail, but not too big to overtake the pencil. I stamped each one with a different background, added two 1/2 inch holes with a punch, and tied on some dyed seam binding and a little tag. Here is one of my favorites, using Text It for the background and this great sentiment from Hocus Pocus:
I created this background from a stamp included in the Hocus Pocus set. It's an incredibly elegant and detailed bat wreath! I love it!
And one more using Gingham & Company:
I'm sure my little trick or treaters are tired of getting theme pencils from me, but they are so darn cute! And I can pick them up after Halloween for dirt cheap and stow them away until next year. These make great treats for your child's school or daycare class. Try them!
