September Waltzingmouse Stamps Sneak Peek - Day 2

Happy Saturday!  Welcome back to the second day of sneak peeks for the September Waltzingmouse Stamps release.  Today we’re sharing a follow up to a very popular WMS set called Say it Loud: Autumn/Winter.

First of all, let me tell you my mind was swimming with ideas on how to use this set.  I love the first Say it Loud set, and this one has earned equal affection!  I decided on a Halloween card because it is one of my favorite crafty holidays, and because I haven't used Cicely at Halloween nearly enough!

To create the focal image, I randomly stamped sentiments from the set to create a background.  I then stamped and colored Cicely in with a black Copic marker, like I did on this project.  But I thought she got lost in the background, so I inked her up again in white pigment ink and stamped right over the black coloring.  I did fairly okay lining things up and I liked how it turned out.

When I said I had a ton of ideas with this great set, I wasn’t kidding.  Unfortunately my other projects didn’t get done in time because I had unexpected Internet outage and a few hours with the cable guy crawling around my attic.  Not how I wanted to spend my day off, but hey...I’m up and running now!

Make sure you check out the entire design team to get a better look at this new set:

Anya Schrier
Becca Feekan
Claire Brennan
Clare Buswell (welcome!)
Jennifer Holmes (you’re here!)
Julia Aston
Kate Whelan
Kelly Schirmer
Laurie Schmidlin
Mona Pendleton
Niki Estes
Sandie Dunne
Sarah Martina Parker
Tosha Leyendekker

And join me tomorrow for another peek at one of the great new sets releasing at Waltzingmouse Stamps on Monday, September 19.  And thanks for your great comments yesterday! I really appreciate them!

The texty background looks fantastic and I really like the way you've coloured Cicely - the white outline really makes her stand out! Brilliant!

This is fab! I love the way you layered Cicely.. this is a fantastic technique. I always like to learn other ways to use these line images because I'm not always in a coloring mood! The text background is great, too. I just love everything about this!
