August WMS Stamp of Approval Parade – Day 2

And I’m back…for the second day of Waltzingmouse Stamps August Stamp of Approval Parade (SOAP). Today I’m sharing a project using Eat Cake and Big Day Additions, both released last month.  Before I show you, I wanted to share with you my inspiration:

I've discovered Pinterest several weeks ago and I'm so glad I did!  I have a secret love of wedding blogs and I have found all sorts of wonderful things, like the photo, above.  The color combination really intrigued me, so I thought I'd give it a try:

This design may seem familiar, as I made a card much like this for the blog waltz last month.  But this card was actually the first one I made; I was just saving it for today.  I absolutely love how this card turned out! The sentiment is from Big Day Additions and, again, I love the font.  You may also see some flourishes from Flourishes - Scallops & Dots on the top part of the card.  On the bottom, I made my own background paper by stamping the smaller rose image from Roses in Bloom repeatedly.  You've seen me do this a million times - it's one of my favorite WMS images!

The cake, of course, is from Eat Cake.  I added white centers to the flowers with my white gel pen:

Now I just need to get invited to a wedding!  Thanks for visiting today.  Make sure you stop by and visit these very talented ladies:

Great colors, Jennifer! Pinterest is such a great resource. I love how you spotlighted the cake - I never seem to remember what a great technique it is to use only a portion of an image. Super job!
