August WMS Stamp of Approval Parade – Day 1

Hello, friends, and welcome to the very first day of Waltzingmouse Stamps August Stamp of Approval Parade (SOAP). Since new sets are released every other month, on the “non release” months the WMS Design Team showcases the previous month’s releases, along with another previously released WMS set. It’s been great fun to keep playing with my July sets and today I’m sharing a project using Flourishes - Scallops & Dots:

This set is one that never gets put away because I'm constantly using it! The swirls and flourishes are perfect for a little holiday elegance.  On this card I stamped the largest flourish in metallic silver ink.  I then used my Heirloom Ornament dies from Spellbinders to create an ornament from red cardstock.  I added some pattern on the ornament using a flourish from the Join Us set and completed it with rhinestones and pretty red ribbon:

The sentiment is a combination of stamps.  The word "Invitation" is from Big Day Essentials and the "For Christmas" is from Join Us.  I absolutely love the paring of these two fonts - those swirly sentiments in the Big Day sets make me so happy!

Now, as usual, the design team has a lot to share today, so be sure to stop by and visit:
