Maxine Meets PSA Essentials

My recent design assignment from PSA Essentials found me creating with some...let's say...creative sentiments and images.  PSA now carries Maxine Peel and Stick Packs!  If you're familiar with this character at all, then you know she always has something funny (read cranky) to say!  I used these new images to create a stationary gift ensemble.  First, a note holder using the Young at Heart set:

Isn't that little dog funny?!  I colored him with Copic markers and added Glossy Accents to his eyes and nose.  It's hard to see here, but if you click on the photo you can see a larger version.  The note holder stays closed with a little Velcro.  You can read directions on how to make them here

Next up, a bookmark using stamps from I Am Woman:

Oh, boy...do you know anyone who could use this?!  Don't worry...I won't tell!  For the heart, I colored right over it with a red marker and added Glossy Accents to make it a nice, puffy heart.  The tassel on the end was made by adding Charcoal twine from The Twinery.  And now, a little notebook or journal using more stamps from Young at Heart:

I'm sure the first person who you give the bookmark to will probably like this, too!  Ha!  I told you Maxine is a cranky gal!  And the whole gift together looks like this:

I'm not saying it's for every occasion, but it's funny! I think this would make a great gift for an "Over the Hill"  or retirement party.  It's practical, funny, and so appropriate!  And, in case you've missed it, PSA Essentials personalized stamps are now on sale!  Click here to see the store list for participating dealers.
