July Friends of WMS Blog Waltz

Welcome to another Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz!  This month the theme is Birthday Party!  I hope you are waltzing along with us today.  You can read all the details on how to participate here and add your link here on the WMS forum.  Now, let's party!

I mentioned yesterday that I'm playing around with different color combinations.  For today's card, I went with bold, bright and fun colors.  Perfect for a summer birthday!  I started by stamping my card base with the smaller outline flower from Big Blooms - Chrysanthemums.  The red cardstock was stamped with Flourishes - Dots & Scallops.  One of my other challenges on this card was to use some of the die cut pieces I had lying around on my craft desk.  So after stamping my cake from Eat Cake, I layered a Labels Sixteen piece with a Big Scalloped circle cut from vellum.  The sentiment is from Big Day Additions.  A set I just can't seem to put down!

Thank you for waltzing along with us today.  Enjoy the party and waltz!  And, if it just so happens to be your special day...Happy Birthday!

Additional supplies:
Cardstock: Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, Vellum (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Fresh Snow, Pure Poppy, Orange Zest (Papertrey Ink)
Ribbon: Orange Zest satin (Papertrey Ink)
Other: Corner Chomper (We R Memory Makers), Glaze pen (Sakura), Big Scalloped Circles, Classic Circles and Labels Sixteen dies (Spellbinders), medium scalloped border die (Papertrey Ink)

You are a brave woman with that colour combo - but rocked it perfectly. I like the vellum die cut addition - I think it makes the layers just that much more interesting!
