June WMS Stamp of Approval Parade – Day 3

And we’re back with day three of Waltzingmouse Stamps SOAP festivities! How are you enjoying the inspiration? If you have any of these stamps, you know how hard it is to put them down! And if you don’t have them yet, I’m sure after SOAP you’ll be more than tempted to make a few purchases!Winking smile Today, I'm sharing a card using that uses a little bit of everything, but the inspiration came from Gingham & Co:

I'm not sure if you see grass when you see a gingham pattern, but I sure did! I also still had both of my Dainty Doilies Large and Small sets out and decided to make trees. Yes, trees! The tree trunks and little bird are from Teeny Trees - an all time favorite WMS set. I decided to use the doilies for the tree tops. I simply stamped the doilies and then punched them out. I punched holes randomly on these pieces so that the branches would show through. For the grass I masked off the trees with a piece of torn notebook paper. After stamping I realized it didn't stamp cleanly, but I actually like the look better than if it had, so I went with it! The sentiment is from Join Us set, released last month. I love the clean font paired with the more folksy looking scene. Something a little different!

How clever! I never would have seen doilies as tree tops. I love it.
