Welcome back to day two of Waltzingmouse Stamps July sneak peeks! What did you think of yesterday’s cameos and ovals? Weren’t the projects from the design team amazing yesterday? What a talented bunch of ladies! Today we have the honor of showing you two more new sets: Big Day Essentials and Big Day Additions. I just couldn't resist making a wedding ensemble using these terrific new sentiments:
If you read my post yesterday you know I made a baby card for a baby that doesn't exist. Well, today I'm showing you a wedding ensemble for a wedding that doesn't exist! I'm actually considering it practice in case a few friends of mine ever decide to take the big plunge (you know who you are!).
First, the save the date card:
The focal point is one of the fabulous sentiments included in the Big Day Essentials set. It's scripty, swirly and just perfect! The flourishes are from Join Us - a perfect compliment to the sentiment. I added some tone-on-tone stamping with the border stamp from Victorian Frippery. I really love the design on this stamp. I opted to just stamp the top and bottom for a cleaner look. Clear rhinestones and a white satin ribbon finish it off.
Next, the invitation. I have a secret love of yellow and gray. I think it's classy, understated and perfect if you don't want an invite that's ultra floral and feminine.
I love a square card for a formal occasion. I think it's unexpected and really stands out when you get it in the mail, making it all the more appealing to open. The soft gray layer was stamped with the same border stamp from Victorian Frippery, to tie in with the Save the Date card. I then embossed it with white embossing powder.
The main focal point is another great sentiment from Big Day Essentials. I cannot tell you how happy that swirly font makes me!! I added two sheer organza ribbons to finish it off - one white, one silver gray. I tied them in a simple knot rather than a bow.
And, finally, the wedding favor:
I used a small glassine bag to make the favor. I cut out a little window with shaped die and added vellum behind it, inside the bag. That way the goodies show through! For my imaginary wedding, the favors are lemon sugar cookies...yum! I used one last sentiment from Big Day Essentials and my favorite oval frame from Ovals - Classic Frames. More rhinestones and a ribbon finished it off simply.
I really enjoyed making this ensemble. Now I have samples to show my friends when the time is right (wink!). Thanks for stopping by and make sure you check out the entire design team today to get a better look at these versatile new sets:
