July Waltzingmouse Stamps Sneak Peek - Day 1

It’s my favorite time, once again…Waltzingmouse Stamps sneak peek time! As you will recall, June was a non-release month, but July is right around the corner and there are a whopping eight wonderful new sets being released July 1! Are you ready? Today it’s all about cameos and ovals, as the design team is featuring three sets showcasing classic designs: Cameo to Go, Cameo Creations, and Ovals – Classic Frames.

There is something so elegant about black and cream together.  I knew when I saw these new stamps that I'd have to make something using that color combination.  To start, I created my background using Text-It and Gingham & Co.  I used images from the new Cameo Creations set to create my focal point.  The oval frame on this card is just so perfect.  It may seem like a little thing, but those leaves and the tiny dot detail around the oval just make me swoon! Sometimes it's just the little things, you know?  Once I created my cameo, I knew I wanted a unique way to display it.  I created a frame using my Labels Sixteen die from Spellbinders.  I also embossed it for added texture.  Because I was out of adhesive pearls, I decided to use white opal Liquid Pearls.  A lady has to have her accessories!

To finish it off, I added black ribbon and a tag stamped with one of the sentiments included in the Cameo to Go set.  Don't you love the font choice?!

This next card turned out to be one of my favorites as of late:

I don't know why I'm making a baby card; no one I know is expecting a baby!  I guess the card just created itself, and I thought it would be well suited for a sweet baby girl.  I used the Text-It set again for the background, followed by stamping the lovely cameos from the Cameo to Go set.  The center leaf detail is from the Ovals - Classic Frames.  It filled in the spaces nicely.  Because I wanted a soft, subdued look to this card, I added a layer of vellum over the card front and adhere it where the border would hide the adhesive.  I love how it softed it up. The sentiment is from Say it Loud and I stamped that gorgeous frame from the Ovals - Classic Frames set.  And, you guessed it, it coordinates with the Classic Ovals Large dies from Spellbinders! One stamped, cut and embossed, I could resist adding some Liquid Pearls for another touch of dainty pink:
