May WMS Sneak Peek: Gingham & Co.

Whoo hoo! It’s my favorite time, once again…Waltzingmouse Stamps sneak peek time! As you will recall, April was a non-release month, but May is right around the corner and there are five (yes, five!) wonderful new sets being released! Are you ready? How about a new background set from WMS? Today the design team is featuring Gingham & Co. – and just wait until you see how perfect this set is!

I chose to work with the large reverse polka dot stamp for this card. I love polka dots and I was thrilled to see that Claire, once again, designed a nice large background building set! And just in time to make a special card (or two) for Mom...

For this card, I wanted to achieve a slight worn, shabby look, so I chose to sponge off some of the ink from the stamp before I stamped it on my card. I then stamped the small rose image from Roses in Bloom around the bottom edge in a slightly darker pink shade. The whole card then got some ink sponged around the edges. To finish it off I added a ribbon and my sentiment using the Labels Four die from Spellbinders. I loved the polka dot pattern so much I really didn’t want to cover it up! Then, finally, three little rhinestones were added for a little sparkle and shine. Just what every Mother needs on her big day!

Now, I can't use a stamp set called Gingham & Co. and not use one of the gingham stamps! I made a second card using the same technique, only in sunny yellow. As you can see, I really didn't want to cover it up, so my tag serves as image and sentiment! The rose, again is from Roses in Bloom and the sentiment is from L'il Buddies.

I hope you enjoyed today’s peeks! Make sure you visit the other design team members today, as they will have more Gingham & Co. to share!
