May WMS Sneak Peek: Dainty Doilies

And here we go with day three of Waltzingmouse Stamps sneak peeks! Today I’m especially excited to share with you a peek at two great sets that will help you break into one of the hottest trends in paper crafting – doilies! Claire has designed two fabulous sets, Dainty Doilies Small and Dainty Doilies Large, both of which are perfect for creating any type of doily you want!

Right away I was smitten with the detail in each and every stamp included in these sets! They are absolutely stunning! I literally gasped the first time I inked up this small doily image and stamped it onto my card:

This doily is from the Dainty Doilies Small set. While the obvious would have been to make a doily, I chose to simply stamp the image in a random pattern onto the card to then become the focal point. These stamps are versatile enough to use in many ways! The sentiment is from Dainty Doilies Large. Love the font!

This next doily image really mesmerized me. I love the curves and loops. I tried something different with this card. I wanted to try out a "less feminine" look with these stamps. (Again, they are versatile enough to do that!) Here I used one of the sentiments from Join Us, along with the flourish, to create a simple, yet elegant Thank You card:

Once again, these two sets are packed with possibilities! I know Claire will show you some great stuff; these stamps are great for layering and building your own unique doilies. I'm sure you'll see quite a lot of variety today from my fellow design team members:

Anya Schrier
Belinda Chang Langner
Bonnie Sharp
Carly Robertson
Claire Brennan
Jennifer Holmes (you’re here!)
Julia Aston
Kate Whelan
Laurie Schmidlin
Lynn Mercurio
Mona Pendleton
Niki Estes
Sandie Dunne
Sarah Martina Parker
Tosha Leyendekker

Tomorrow is release day and we’re celebrating with our usual design team release day blog waltz! And we’ll also have more samples to share of one of the other new sets. This one is a biggie!

I love the second card, Jennifer! Less may be more but you executed it brilliantly!

The pink card is most definitely feminine. But I love that the 2nd card isn't so feminine. Whether that's because of the color or because of the lack of ribbon... Me LIke!
Thanks for sharing.

Jennifer -- your first card highlights how detailed the stamps are, and the second card really shows the versatility of the stamps -- so classic.
