April WMS Stamp of Approval Parade – Day 1

Hello and welcome to the very first day of Waltzingmouse Stamps April Stamp of Approval Parade (SOAP). And what is SOAP, you ask?! Claire Brennan, owner of Waltzingmouse Stamps, has made a decision to release new sets every other month. On the “non release” months, the WMS Design Team will be showcasing the previous month’s release along with another previously released WMS set. Isn’t this a fabulous idea? I think so…it’s been so much fun to keep playing with my March sets as well as revisit an old friend, Spring Baskets! But for today, I'm sharing a card using Bitty Banners. One look at my blog header and you know I like banners. Did you realize how quick and easy they dress up a card? I decided it was high time I get into making some Easter cards, or at least something spring-y. The weather isn't cooperating, but I can bring my own sunshine!

I went into my scrap stash and started cutting out pieces for this card. I created the grass with a scrap of green cardstock and cut the "blades" by using some very sharp, small scissors. The eggs were created with my smallest classic oval die from Spellbinders. The perfect size! And, of course, the banners just make it! I used some ivory silk ribbon to create the banner string and tied two little bows and adhered to each corner. I like this look!

The sentiment is from L'il Buddies and I think it's an unexpected and fun touch on an Easter card, don't you?

Make sure you visit the other design team members today to see what they have in store for SOAP today! Thanks for joining me!
