Hello, friends! It's time for another Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz and I'm so happy to be creating for Valentine's Day! I really love making cards and little sweet treats for this occasion. Although I have to admit, I'm still working on Christmas thank you cards...lol!
Since I was short on time this week, I took my own advice and drew inspiration from a card I've made in the past. Remember this little Halloween sweet? I tell you, I can make this cupcake work all year long!
I love using the frame from Frame-It with other sentiments, like this one from Sweethearts. Because I wanted a soft look, I stamped the cupcake outline in gray, rather than black, and colored it in Copic markers. I just had to add some glitter for the frosting and Glossy Accents to the heart, which was discovered in my Half Baked Gingerbread Joy set, by the way! It was at this point that I realized this card will likely end up with my daughter, and not my husband!
The background on the card was created with the polka dot set from Off Beat Backgrounds. This remains one of my favorite polka dot stamps of all time!
Thank you for stopping by today! Are you playing along? If so, I can't wait to see what you've made for the waltz! And don't forget...keep your eyes peeled for the mystery watermark included in some of the design team's photos today for a chance to win!
