Happy New Year!

I don't know about you, but I'm ready to stick a fork in 2010 and call it done! Not that this was a bad year, but the past few weeks have been beyond challenging. To add to the usual holiday frenzy, my family has been sick, with two of the three of us currently on antibiotics. My daughter seems to be bouncing back pretty quickly but, for me, recovery is much, much, much, slower. Looking back on Christmas, it was a blur, but I do remember that one little girl was pretty happy with what Santa brought her:

The biggest hit by far is the Wii. Olivia has been giving it a workout on a daily basis! And let me tell you, she is one competitive little girl! Even when she's playing against herself!

Today I'm planning to start taking down the Christmas trees and decorations. This will probably stretch into the weekend, but that's okay. I did get a start on some Christmas thank you cards today; it felt really good to clean up my stamp space and create again:

This is a super simple, clean design. Much like mass producing Christmas cards, thank yous get created the same way. I figure out a design and repeat, and repeat, and repeat. I love the silver and aqua colors together. I used Raspberry Fizz ink on the sentiment; a fun pop of color with the Aqua Mist cardstock. And, of course, a little bling never hurts:

I hope you are all well and rested from the holiday. Any big plans for tonight? Let's face it, it will be a miracle if I actually stay up until midnight, but who knows! So far my plans consists of movies, popcorn and fuzzy pajamas! A real party! Take care and have a safe and happy holiday!

Stamps: Peace Be Still, Holiday Button Bits, Signature Christmas (PTI)
Paper: Aqua Mist, Stamper's Select White (PTI)
Ink: Raspberry Fizz (PTI), Starlite Silver Brilliance (Tsukineko)
Other: adhesive rhinestones (KaiserCrafts), Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers)

I love this card! It's simple, but really elegant. I envy your New Year's plans - we are just going to a friend's house, but I am more in the mood for fuzzy PJ's!

I sent you an email a few weeks ago, and never heard back, I imagine because you were sick - but I wanted to make sure you got it?

Happy New Year!

This card is simple and elegant... you did a fantastic job at designing this and I was intrigued as to how you matched the different stamps and elements from the different stamp sets. Clearly a mind with a vision!! As if I need to add.... I love your creation!!!
