Waltzingmouse Stamps Release Day Blog Waltz

Today's the big day! You are now officially able to buy the terrific goodness you've been seeing over the past few days! And to celebrate, the design team is having their usual blog waltz. If you came here from Mona's blog then you're on the right track. If not, then you'll want to start at the beginning, at Claire's blog. And don't forget about the contest! There will be two randomly drawn winners: one from all comments left on Claire's waltz post and one from all comments left on a design team member's blog, to be determined. The contest will end at 11:59 p.m. EST on November 9. And now, onto my project:

When I first saw the new 'Twas the Night Before Christmas set, I recongized right away that this set would have appeal to both scrapbookers and card makers alike. While I have a few ideas I'm thinking about, for today I wanted to make a house shaped card. Luckily for me, I was able to find a house card download for my Silhouette online. Do you know how much fun it is to decorate a little paper house?! First, there is a little door...that opens! So next it needed windows. I added them, coloring them with Copics to add the glow from the inside light. Next I added some Stickles to resemble glistening snow:

For the roof, I added some felt trim and glittered it up. The little chimney got some Stickles, too, and some wired pom pom ribbon for puffs of smoke:

And what's inside of this little house? A little story, of course...about the night before Christmas!

Wouldn't this make a cute Chritmas party invitation? Or how about a sweet way to send your Santa pictures of the kids? See, I told you there are a lot of ideas running through my head!

Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific day! Next stop on the waltz...the super talented Lisa!
