Happy Thanksgiving to my friends in the United States! Oddly enough, I don't have a Thanksgiving project to share today, but rather a Christmas one. That's because I'm playing along with Papertrey Ink's blog hop this month and the challenge was to make a holiday tag. My own personal challenge this year is to make my tags using my scraps and leftovers. Which is exactly what I did to create my tag today:
If you read my blog on a regular basis, you may even recognize a few of these elements...lol! The tag base was made using my Silhouette digital cutter. I had made several of them for another project and had a few left over. The kraft layer is actually the start of a little card I never finished. The polka dots and ric rac trim were already on it! To embellish my tag I used my newly received 2010 Holiday Tags set. I stamped the image onto cream cardstock, punching out the center. I layered the image with a snowflake and off set the sentiment with foam dimensionals. I think this kraft, cream and red combo is quite possibly one of my favorites of all time:
Thanks for hopping by today! I'm off to finish up my baking and then we're heading out for dinner with my family. I'll be hopping later today, though, and I can't wait to see what everyone has created. I love the holiday inspiration!
