Hello and welcome to the October Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Waltz! Are you aware that there is a little contest happening today during the waltz? Each of the design team members have a clue to share with you (11 total!), all of which will help you answer this question: What is the subject of one of the new stamp sets to be released in November? Post your guess on the WMS forum here for a chance to win! The competition runs until 11:59 p.m. EST on Tuesday, October 19. The winners will be announced both on the Waltzingmouse Stamps blog and in this thread.
Now, onto the waltz! This month's theme is Fall or harvest, which is my absolute favorite, next to Christmas. This week I have had family in town, doing all sorts of things, but not a bit of stamping took place! So I was feeling a little light on the mojo for this one and decided to keep it simple:
I love the colors of Fall the best and stamped my leaves in warm hues of orange and burgundy. I'm just not yet ready for the green and red of Christmas yet! And this leaf image from Blessed by You is one of my all time favorites. The rectangle box from Frame It makes for a simple quick card, and I chose to just ink part of a sentiment from Blessed by You to sum up this time of year for me; a time to be grateful for family and friends. And I finally tried out my wood grain impression plate. I love the subtle texture it gives:
Thanks for waltzing by today. Remember to keep your eyes peeled for those clues and you just might be able to figure out the theme of one of next month's new WMS sets! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you soon!
