Espressly For You

As you probably noticed, I've been MIA on the old blog. Last weekend my cousin Katie got married and my brother and his wife were here for the ceremony and stayed the week. It was great to see them and to hang out, but I got zero done in the way of stamping. And now I've got a case of the Missing Mojo. But before it took a hike, I did make some new samples for Purple Onion Designs using their newest Coffee & Tea set. One of my favorites is this gift card holder:

This set is packed with the most adorable images! Who knew, but this coffee bean ended up being one of my favs. I randomly stamped it onto my card and colored it with Copics to create a fun background. The focal image was colored with Copics, too, and I added a little paper piercing to resemble steam:

Then inside is the good stuff! Imagine a Starbucks gift card inside (I used an old Silhouette download card as a prop here, but you get the idea). I had cut my card to be 4.5 inches wide and 11 inches long so that I could fold this part over to create a pocket for my gift card. A circle punch was used to make the notch, to make the card easier to get out:

As we start thinking about the holidays, wouldn't these make cute little gifts? A card and gift in one...love it! Well, speaking of coffee, by the time you read this I'm going to desperately need some to get my Monday started. Have a great day!

Stamps: Coffee & Tea (POD)
Paper: Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream, Fine Line (PTI)
Ink: Dark Chocolate (PTI), Black Memento (Tsukineko), Antique Linen & Frayed Burlap (Ranger)
Other: Copic markers, Dark Chocolate vintage button (PTI), silk ribbon, classic circle dies (Spellbinders)

Glad you had time to spend with family! Love your paper piercing for the steam but the thing that I like the best is that ribbon/button combo! Cute idea for the gift card too!
