Papertrey Ink September Blog Hop

Tonight I'm super excited to be playing along with Papertrey Ink's September Blog Hop. First, it's been months since I've been able to play and, second, it's been over a week since I've updated my blog! I thought I better get on here quickly before you all forgot I existed!

So this month the Blog Hop challenge is to create something inspired by a fellow stamper.

The inspiration for this card comes from Melissa Phillips, but it's not inspired the way you may think. While Melissa is super talented and I love her work, what I find most inspiring about her is her ability to put a little bit of herself into everything she makes. You can almost feel the love, appreciation and kindness she puts into each and every thing she creates. And so that is what I did when I made this card, and why I chose this sentiment from Gobble, Gobble. I truly am thankful for all of the wonderful things in my life and I hope to one day be able to express this as well as Melissa does. Her outlook on life truly is an inspiration!

So...now about this card. One of my favorite things is this little frame I made using my Mat Stack 4 and Fillable Frames 7 dies. The frame is actually made of real wood. It's a thin wood veneer adhered to cardstock. I think the wood texture gives a prefect Autumn feel to this card, not to mention the lovely color combination of Scarlet Jewel, Fine Linen and Terracotta Tile. A glittery little maple leaf tucked under my button was a must have touch:

After adding my card to the Blog Hop list I see that I have a lot of hopping to do! Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: Gobble, Gobble (PTI)
Paper: Orange Zest, Scarlet Jewel, Fine Linen, Vintage Cream, Giving Thanks (Theresa Collins), wood veneer cardstock
Ink: Vintage Touch Chai & Chamomile, Dark Chocolate, Terracotta Tile, Summer Sunrise, Pure Poppy (PTI)
Other: Harvest Gold vintage button, Terracotta Tile satin ribbon, Mat Stack 4 die, Fillable Frames 7 die (PTI), twine, leaf punch (Fiskars), foam mounting tape
