Bridal Shower Butterfly

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. I had quite a bit going on, including attending a bridal shower for my cousin, Katie. It was a really great occasion and I'm looking forward to the wedding in October. Here's a look at the card I made for her shower, using her wedding colors:

I started with Simply Chartreuse cardstock, one of my favorite colors at the moment. I stamped the bottom third in VersaMark with Background Basics: Text Style II from Papertrey Ink. I then stamped right over it with the large leaf stamp from Turning a New Leaf. For the focal image, I cut a circle of Spring Moss and added a butterfly that was stamped with a smaller leaf pattern. I used one of the antennae stamps from Little Lady to complete my butterfly. Here's a closer look at some of the card's details (click on the photos to view them larger):

These are really pretty colors together and I can't wait to see what she'll do with them at the wedding. I think I'll start making some thank you cards to go along with her wedding gift using the same color combinations I used here. I know how much a new bride can use some thank you cards!

Have a great day and I'll try to post some scrapbook photos tomorrow!

Stamps: Turning a New Leaf, Background Basics: Text Style II, Round & Round, Little Lady (PTI)
Paper: Simply Chartreuse, Vintage Cream, Spring Moss (PTI)
Ink: watermark ink (VersaMark), Plum Pudding, Dark Chocolate (PTI)
Other: medium scalloped border die (PTI), classic circle and nested butterfly dies (Spellbinders), adhesive pearls (BasicGrey)
