Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge

Yes, you read that correctly! The big secret that Claire has been keeping is the launch of the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge blog! Today is the big debut and you can read all about it on the new blog. This will be a great opportunity for all of you to show off your stuff using your Waltzingmouse Stamps, but that is not a requirement to play along (but there is an extra incentive if you do - more about that on the blog!). And now, without further ado, here is the very first WMS sketch and my project:

I went for a simple, "zen" like look when creating this card. I loved the simple look of the birdcage from Asian Gardens hanging on the branch from Faux Fun Circles. I debated using color, but in the end the black on white look just stuck with me. To finish it off I added a ribbon tag and some black and white dotted ribbon:

It doesn't get much simpler than that! I will admit, sketch challenges, well...challenge me. But now I guess that's the whole point, right? I'm looking forward to the upcoming weeks and playing along with the WMS challenges. I hope you do, too! Now, go ahead and hop on over to the new sketch blog and check out all the details on what's to come! Let's just say there are prizes in store and you don't want to miss out! Also, the other design team members have played along with this sketch, so be sure to check them out, too! Have a great weekend!

Stamps: Asian Gardens, Faux Fun Circles, Fancy Phrases (WMS)
Paper: Kraft, Spring Moss, Stamper's Select White (PTI)
Ink: True Black, Fresh Snow (PTI)
Other: True Black swiss dot ribbon (PTI), classic square and circle dies (Spellbinders), foam dimensionals, ribbon tag die (Spellbinders)

What a beautiful take on the sketch, Jennifer. I love how you used the branch through the birdcage...I never would have thought of that. Fantastic job.

I love how you didn't feel the need to be exact with the sketch! That is always a challenge for me! You are true fabooness!

I LOVE this card, so very striking! I think the pairing of the open cage and that sentiment about being missed was utterly brilliant!
