I don't think Olivia really gets that this was the last day of school. We've talked a lot about First Grade, and so far the big draw is that she won't have to take a nap during the day...lol! She's also excited about taking her lunch each day (I'm sure that will get old for both of us!). It will all be an adjustment, but she'll love it, I know she will. And I know this is just the first of many milestones to come, but each one is just so special and makes me feel so proud to be her Mom. Kleenex, please...
And so, with summer vacation officially upon us, I thought I'd share a summer kind of card:
This is a simple card I made for Purple Onion Designs. I knew I had some summer related stickers in my stash, and this was a perfect card to use them on. The Summer Noteblock image takes center stage, but I added some background stamping and lots of little summer touches. The "water" I made using one of my scalloped border dies. I popped up a few of the pieces with foam dimensionals:
I'm not sure yet what plans lie ahead for summer, but I do know we're going to schedule in some serious family time. Camping plans and a trip to the ocean are already in the works...as soon as the weather cooperates long enough. Come on summer sun...!
