Waltzingmouse Stamps New Release Blog Waltz

Today is the big day! It's release day at Waltzingmouse Stamps, and boy is it a special one! Not only is it the biggest release WMS has ever had (eight stamps sets!), but we're also celebrating the first anniversary of WMS with a birthday themed blog waltz! So if you got here from Lynn's blog, then you are on the right track. If not, you'll want to go back to Claire's blog and start at the very beginning. And now, on to my project for today's birthday themed waltz...

Today the design team is using the new It's a Piece of Cake template that is also being released today. And can I just say how ingenious our Claire is! She managed to create a realistic, rounded piece of cake that comes together so beautifully that you'll want to make cake for days! I love it! But...I just couldn't resist the idea of making a wedge of cheese in honor of Waltzingmouse's first birthday. I used several circle punches and my circle dies to create the holes. I simply added a second layer of cardstock inside, adhered with foam mounting tape, to give the holes some depth and make it feel a little more real. I just love it!

I love that this cake comes with a lid and liner, too. It's a great size for a little present and with the liner you can personalize it to your heart's content!

Here's a closer look at my little mouse. He started out as a download from the QuicKutz online store for my Silhouette, but then I colored him with Copics and used my colorless blender to add some furry texture. He's so cute, you almost forget he's a rodent! And check out the fat plaid in the background from the new Picnic Patterns set, releasing today. It's so much fun, you'll love it!

So I'm the last stop on the waltz today. Make sure you leave comments on each blog, as there will be prizes awarded from randomly selected comments - one from Claire's blog and one from a design team member's blog. You have until 11:59 PM EST on Monday, May 3 to enter!

I hope you had a fun time this week as we shared our sneak peeks and our birthday projects today. I'm very proud to be a part of this company and even more proud of Claire and her success. Thank you all for helping to celebrate WMS's first year. Here's to many, many more...

Mega sweet indeed... My daughter is getting married in July and her fiance always wanted a cheese wedding cake. They've compromised on a triple choccie elaboration. I could though also make him your cheese wedges cake LOL!! Fill'em with cheese (or mini edams).... hmmm... there's a thought.... I've already grabbed the template before the waltz LOL.
THANKS!

Truly clever little treat you have served up here, and how happy all the "Waltzing Mice" must be. Every turn around the dance floor has left me breathless, but wishing that it will never end.
I simply adore cheesecake, and to think that you took out all the calories in this one, and flavored it with Love.
