Kraft Goodness

Hello again! Thanks to all of you who left anniversary wishes on my post Saturday. My husband and I went out to a nice, cozy dinner to celebrate. It is so rare for us to go out alone, so it was a real treat. Our favorite part of the evening? Shocking our waiter when I told him we have been married 17 years! Everyone always thinks we are so young looking to be married that long! And we are...lol!

So tonight's card is especially appropriate for today. We've had a cold, rainy (pouring down!) day. So this card brings me some warm weather cheer...even if it's just on a card!

Lately my favorite thing to do is color on Kraft with Copics. Using the white pigment ink just really makes the Copics pop and asks almost like a resist to keep the color inside the lines. These doodle flowers from Purple Onion Designs are fun, simple shapes to color. I added some "fluffy" white clouds to the sky, along with a kite for a touch of whimsy. Love the scalloped polka dot grass, too:

So I'm ready for summer, are you? I'm tired of our dreary weather here and could really use some sunshine. I guess I'll keep taking my Vitamin D in the meantime!

Note to Maureen: My emails still don't seem to be getting through to you. Unfortunately I won't have time to make anything for your graduations. I apologize, but our communication problems caused a lot of delay. Maybe next time?

Stamps: Doodle Flower Sentiment Set, Bubble-ma-jig, Doodle Birthday Set (POD)

Ink: True Black, Fresh, Ripe Avocado (PTI)
