This was a fun family vacation, with three families traveling together. There were twelve of us; six adults and six kids. A lot of our time was spent at the resort and their great water park there, but we also got a chance to get out and find some other fun spots for the kids, including a day at Goldfield Ghost Town.
We had a great guide for our underground mine tour; he managed to put a little scare into the kids with his storytelling skills. I'll admit, I even jumped once or twice (it's dark down there!). This place has a lot of history and beautiful scenery, including the Superstition Mountains:
And the kids even panned for gold! Although we just got a few teeny tiny flakes, my daughter was still pretty excited about the idea of it!
The trip was great and the kids had a ton of fun! We soaked up the sun and loved the much warmer weather from what we had back home (more than 30 degrees warmer some days!). Alas, we are back home and have to put on socks and turn up the heat! Oh well, we'll see warmer temperatures here in Washington...eventually!
I hope you all had a great week. I'll be back Saturday night with a Papertrey Ink Click Simple sneak peek! Make sure you come back!
