Easter Greetings

It's still hard for me to believe that it's Easter, yet here we are! We've been enjoying (not!) hail, rain, wind and more rain these days, so it certainly doesn't feel like Spring or Easter. But I shouldn't be surprised, I've lived in the Pacific Northwest all my life. As kids, our Easter egg hunts were always inside the house!

Today I'm sharing one of the few cards I managed to complete in time for Easter. Not what I had planned, but what are ya gonna do? Time just does not seem to be on my side!'s cute, bright and cheery, just what we need in the midst of this cold, wet weather. And it uses my favorite little chickie, once again! I used the Nestie Eggs set from Waltzingmouse Stamps in a somewhat unusual way on this card. See the bird's tail feathers? I used one of the eggs to give him polka dots! And the tiny heart stamp was used to create his wing! It's simple, but works:

And you can never go wrong with more polka dots, which is why I used my Off Beat Background set on this card. That is a "go to" set if I've ever seen one!

Happy Easter to you and yours! I hope you are spending your day just the way you've planned. Which means nibbling on chocolate bunnies until you get a stomach ache, right?! Not that I've done that, just sayin'.

Stamps: Off Beat Backgrounds, Nestie Eggs (WMS)
Ink: Aqua Mist, True Black, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Hibiscus Burst (PTI)
Paper: Hibiscus Burst, Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist (PTI)
Other: Aqua Mist, Vintage Cream and Hibiscus Burst Vintage Buttons (PTI), foam mounting tape (3M), Spring Fling Click Simple Template - Chick shape (PTI), Hibiscus Burst saddle stitch ribbon (PTI)

Cute card and very innovative of you, too!
Happy Easter - we're finally getting the warm sunny stuff. In fact, someone complained it was too warm too early' yesterday (almost 30C out- yikes-lol!)
I love it!

Very cute little chick on your colorful card. It almost looks like sunshine in a blue sky. That heart/wing is very clever.

It must be spring, the rain is getting less cold.
