So tonight I want to share with you a card that has been half done for weeks now and I finally finished it off! I had an idea, started to create it, then just couldn't decided what to do next. I really need to finish off more of these half done projects and clear off my desk!
This card started out with the clear embossed flourishes on Kraft cardstock. I love the look of clear embossing on Kraft. Then came the white polka dots. I simply stamped them right over the flourishes then lightly removed the white ink with a tissue. And that is where I stopped. Then, after several weeks, I decided I wanted a butterfly on the card, with a button. I looked into my Papertrey Ink stash to find a sentiment that would fit across the card nicely. I really like this one from Year of Flowers: Violets. It makes this card useful for many different occasions. And the violet images in this set are so pretty. On this card I used the smaller violet stamp to create a pattern on my butterfly:
I definitely need to use these violets more often! And I love the Plum Pudding ink on Lemon Tart cardstock. This really says Spring to me!
