It’s Blog Hop time at Papertrey Ink! And this month the challenge is to “go through the Design Team gallery or any of the Design Team Members' blogs and find a project that is especially inspirational to you! Then recreate the project with your own spin, making it unique!” While it’s hard to choose, there is one designer who stands out to me as a constant source of inspiration. That would be the uber-talented Debbie Olson! For quite some time now, I’ve ooh-ed and aah-ed over Debbie's amazing talent. Her coloring skills are ridiculous, and her attention to detail is flawless. Recently this post made me gasp (yes, gasp!) and I was especially drawn to this card:

While it may seem like a simple concept, it’s Debbie’s extra touches that really make it special (the scored lines, the buttons, ribbon). I love the graphic look of this card and the fact that she stamped the envelope, too (see, she thinks of everything!). So this is the card I created with all of that inspiration in mind:

I just recently bought the Teacher's Apple set, and boy, am I glad I did! There are so many reasons and occasions to give your child's teacher a little note of appreciation. I can't wait to send this one off to school in my daughter's backpack!
Speaking of appreciation, I feel so thankful to be a member of Papertrey Ink's Click Simple Design Team. Being a part of this amazing company, with even more amazing talent (as we've seen tonight), just makes me so proud! Now I'm off I go to check out some of your talent and to see what you've all made for the Hop! Thanks for stopping by!

YOu really rocked this challenge because you did consider every detail and every part of your card 'fits' and makes sense . . . the chalkboard look, the apple, the paper punch you used on the side, the font . . . all fits!
All the details work together perfectly for a teacher's card! This card is a wonderful tribute to Debbie!
