So to get my mind of my computer woes I'm playing along today with a Papertrey Ink challenge to use up my scraps. It just so happens that I've been making thank you cards utilizing my scraps, so I was happy to make one more card using up some of my leftovers from Christmas:
This Cosmo Cricket patterned paper was too cute to put away just yet. And because most of the colors are not traditionally Christmas related, I thought I could get by making a winter themed card. The snowflake was literally hanging out on my desk, die cut and ready to go, but it just hadn't made it onto a project yet.

I just can't seem to get enough Kraft these days! I stamped some snowy flourishes on my Kraft card base with Vintage Cream and, feeling especially inspired by today's Papertrey Ink newsletter, I added some texture using a paper piercing needle:

So, what will you be doing today? Using up some of those Christmas scraps? Since I've already wasted several hours trying to fix my computer, I think I will forget all about it and spend some serious time in my craft room. Make sure you check back in with me tomorrow. I'm planning on something special in honor of my birthday!

Stamps: Fancy Flourishes, Snowfall (PTI)
Paper: Kraft, Vintage Cream, Hibiscus Burst (PTI), Jolly by Golly (Cosmo Cricket)
Other: Raspberry Fizz vintage button (PTI), rustic jute button twine (PTI), Create a Flake One dies (Spellbinders), paper piercing needle, corner rounder punch (EK Success)

I just LOVE this card! I need to take that challenge and use up some scraps. . .especially after I spent so much time yesterday organizing them! LOL Thanks for inspiring me!
I love the card! That paper adds just the right touch of color.
Oh I just LOVE this card - everything about it! And the paper piercing is FAB!
I really love this - it just doesn't look like a 'scrap' card at all! That little pop of colour from the pp is fabulous on the kraft and those pierced dots really add to the 'breeze' - gorgeous :)
I love the paper piercing you did in combination with the snowflakes. Also love the splash of color against the craft!
This is *FAB*! Love it!
