37

That is me, just a week after I was born. And, yes, I was a big baby (ha!). And apparently very alert, wouldn't you say? Turning thirty seven feels odd to me today. I'm past 35 but not quite the big four-o. Just right in between. I remember feeling the exact same way when I turned 27, which really does seem like yesterday. And yet, here we are, ten years later, so...

In honor of my birthday, I'd like to give a gift to you! Yes, you, my kind commenter-friend-fellow crafter-blog reader. I appreciate each and every one of you who take the time to visit me on a regular basis. I have had so much fun since starting my blog a year and a half ago and it wouldn't be the same without you.

I thought and thought about what I'd like to give and came up with (what I think) is a novel idea. You see, I make a ton of stuff for various assignments, etc. and most of it sits here in my little craft room. So my goal this year is to give more of it away. Would you like to receive some of this stuff? How about a card? How about a card (or other creation) each month for the next year? That's right, I'll do it. A whole year. To enter, just leave a comment on this post by 5:00 p.m. (PST) Sunday, January 3, 2010. If you don't have a Google account, please consider creating one when you leave your comment. This way you'll include your email address, making it easy for me to contact you if you should win. (This will also help me respond to your questions in the future!) Sound good? I hope you are as excited about this as I am, because I can't wait to start sending some cards away! I'll announce the winner on my blog shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Have a great day and enjoy your weekend. Later today I'm baking a chocolate birthday cake with my girl, who thinks we really need some party hats and a serious game of musical chairs today. Ah...so sweet.

P.S. I'll be back later today to share another Waltzingmouse Stamps peek for the upcoming new set!

Birthdays are the best!! May this birthday be just one in a series of beautiful days for you in this new year Jennifer! As for 37 . . . .well, I'm a decade past that, but truly believe that life just keeps getting better with each passing year. I pray the same remains true for you always.

Checking blogs while trying to do other things and I just left a comment on an older June post! I hope this is not a sign of what the new year will be like! Now that I am on the right page--want to wish you a very happy birthday. I have so enjoyed your blog (which I just recently found) and love your work. Having samples of your wonderful cards would be such a treat. Have a fun day!

Happy Birthday Jennifer. 37 is a breeze. I am looking at 55 later this month. That could be scary but I have decided it is just a number, a rather large one but just a number. Keep telling yourself that. I think your gift is amazing. I would love to have a card to look forward to each month. Hope your birthday is full of happy surprises.

Hi Jennifer!
Breithl√° Shona Duit! Happy Birthday. I think age is just a number because really, I don't think we ever think ourselves older than when we were still in school!. Young at heart is what I like to think.I'll be the big 40 this year. Wouldn't it be such a treat to be able to build a little 'Card for any Occasion' tin up with winning this generous giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity to add my name and have a wonderful day!

Happy, happy birthday! May you be blessed many times over in 2010!!

My BFF had a tough year last year with her husband losing his (daytime desk) job and getting a new (oil field truck driving night shift) job. I sent her a card a week for a year (I think I might have missed a few weeks in there) but she loved the encouragement and good wishes!

Your "blog candy" makes me think that maybe I should be sending her a card once a month so she doesn't think I just forgot about her!!

Happy Birthday, Jennifer, a few days late! Hope it was very special for you. I've enjoyed visiting your blog periodically and I love everything I've seen. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creations, it's been fun viewing. And, as a somewhat...ahem...older person than you, I can tell you it is wonderful to be in the middle age bracket and saying, hey, I'm still having a great time here, and if my appearance isn't quite the same as it was when I was in my 30's (like you, lucky girl!), I still feel much the same inside. Just so you know, the decades fall behind but it's still a fun trip! ;-)
