Thankful For Your Support

It's late at my house. Very late. My little family is fast asleep and I'm up stamping! I know I'm not the only one. I can just visualize many of you reading this with tired eyes, working away on one project or another. My reason for staying up? I was just bound and determined to make something with my very first set from Waltzingmouse Stamps. When Claire sent me the Blessed By You set, I immediately realized that the great variety of sentiments included in this set were going to fill a void in my collection. I especially like this one:

I LOVE the maple leaf in this set! It's just a perfect little leaf that was calling to me to be used right away. I wanted to experiment with a more masculine (or at least neutral) color combination. I really like how this one turned out. Although it's very hard to see (click photo, above, to enlarge), I created the background by stamping the leaf and acorn image once on scratch paper then again on my cardstock. It creates almost a textile feel on this card. I also stamped another leaf image from the set onto my cream cardstock center and inked the edges a bit. This tones down the brightness of the cream a bit. And some mica powder adds a little shine and shimmer on my leaf (again, hard to see in the photo, but click to enlarge):

I can't wait to ink up more of these stamps and share more projects for Waltzingmouse Stamps! Thanks to all of you for your kind comments and congratulations. It's a great honor to be on the design team with such talented and kind ladies. Now...

make sure you check out Claire's blog for the latest news on the December Waltzingmouse Stamps release!
