Homemade Treats

ETA: You can find the recipe for these cookies here. It's a very easy recipe with few ingredients, and the dough comes together beautifully. In fact, I may have to make more!

As I mentioned last night, there was much baking at my house this weekend. And a little packaging, but more of that is needed. It was nice that my Purple Onion Designs deadline corresponded with my baking schedule so I could take care of two things at once. Here's how I packaged up some of my Cranberry Pecan cookies:

Wow, and these cookies are good! I took my color cue from the cookies themselves and used cranberry, cream and chocolate colors. I love the Damask background stamp and usually manage to work it in every month. I used one of the new logo stamps and stamped my treat name on a separate piece of cardstock, punched out and fit it right into place. Don't you love the handwritten font?

Well, some things are getting crossed off my list this weekend, but not because I've accomplished them all. I'm at the point where I'm giving up on some things that are just not going to happen before Christmas. And I'm okay with that. My sanity thanks me.

Stamps: Homemade Treats Logo, Vintage Damask Background (Purple Onion Designs)
Paper: Scarlet Jewel, Kraft, Vintage Cream (PTI)
Ink: Dark Chocolate, Scarlet Jewell, Vintage Touch Chai & Chamomile (PTI)
Other: Do Me A Favor Click Simple Packaging Template (PTI), Scarlet Jewel satin luxe ribbon (PTI), Scarlet Jewel vintage button (PTI), snowflake button, twine, classic circle die (Spellbinders), circle punches (Marvy Uchida)

Jennifer, I am so happy that I found your blog, I love everything you make! I did go to Purple Onion and I purchased a few things during their sale and the "Homemade Treats" stamp is one that I purchased since I too love to bake and make goodies for the holidays......
Thank you for your inspiration!
