because she is totally, completely exhausted and so thankful to have tomorrow and Friday off from work! Okay, that didn't rhyme, I know. It may have been a short work week but I'm glad it's over, so glad. I'm looking forward to some rest and relaxation!
But I must first prepare my craft room. Since I have just a few simple dishes to make for tomorrow, I'm going to spend this evening cleaning and organizing my craft space to prepare for full speed holiday crafting ahead! And I've already started with this little card:
This snowman is from Papertrey Ink's Holiday Button Bits set. I used my Copic markers to color in the background and my blender pen for "snow." Oh, wait. Didn't I tell you? I have Copics!!! Yes, I know, I'm a little late, but you know how I am about getting on bandwagons. Well I decided to give Copics a try and started with the Aqua Mist Copic Color Collection from Papertrey Ink. I think I like them. I think I love them. And I am not a coloring type of girl, really, but I think I may have just converted. Okay, back to the card.
Since I only have a few markers, I used colored pencils for the hat and scarf, which I think worked out okay. I couldn't resist adding a little Liquid Applique for his hat. I used a craft knife to partially cut his scarf so that I could slip a button right into place.
So I still need some practice with the Copics, but I think I'm going to order more. Okay, I know I'm ordering more. And I love the Aqua Mist and Raspberry Fizz combo for the holidays. So cheerful and fun...very "merry and bright."
P.S. For those of you who asked, I'm getting very close to opening my Etsy shop! I hope to have it up and running by the weekend, stocked with lots of holiday goodies!
