Pink & Blue

Happy Friday! Have you started your weekend yet? Since it's Friday night, I sure have! Although I'm not doing anything special, other than staying up a little stamp! And since I still had my pink and blue out from this project, I had to make yet another card using this color combination:

I just love this crushed velvet ribbon by Maya Road. I picked it up at my LSS the other day. They were out of the other colors so I "settled" for pink; little did I know I'd be using it on a Christmas card! And the new formulated Aqua Mist ink from Papertrey Ink is absolutely terrific! I wasn't sure how I'd like the pigment ink, but I have say...I LOVE it!

For this card I stamped and cut out the mitten images from my Snowfall set and added a little of the ribbon for the cuffs. I stamped them with a snowflake image from Rustic Snowflakes and added a little matching pearl in the center. It's hard to tell, but the sentiment is stamped on vellum paper that has a little silver shimmer to it. It's very pretty in real life, but hard to capture the shimmer in a photo:

What fun it is to work on Christmas cards early! But I must not forget about Thanksgiving, so that is next on my list. I only send out a few cards for that holiday, but they are fun to make and include a message of gratitude.

So what plans do you have for the weekend? I really want to wrap up my December Daily album and make a few fun Christmas projects. I have yet to come up with the card for Christmas, so I'll be working on that, too.

Stamps: Snowfall, Rustic Snowflakes, Signature Christmas (PTI)
Paper: Kraft (PTI), vellum
Ink: Fresh Snow, True Black, Aqua Mist, Vintage Touch Chai & Chamomile, Water Lily Green (PTI)
Other: pink crushed velvet ribbon (Maya Road), twine, adhesive pearls

So very pretty. Really like the idea of the ribbon on the mittens. I'm hoping to stamp a bunch this weekend. I want to make a bunch of notepads with the Take Note set. Have a great weekend.
