Tonight's card has a funny story. I wanted to see if I could combine a few of my Papertrey Ink sets to make a baby's first Christmas card. I had the idea to use one of the stamps from the Bitty Baby Blessings set to fit inside of the stocking. And I need this type of card for this sweet baby. There's only one little problem. Can you guess what it may be...?
That's right. The baby I need this card for is a little boy! I started stamping and creating and I guess I spaced out the fact that I needed to make a little baby boy stocking. I must have really wanted to use my new Sweet Blush ink pad (which I love by the way!). Oh well, it will make a sweet card; I just have to find a little baby girl to give it to!
I also wanted the chance to try out my new Background Basics: Text Style II set. I think I love it. I know I love it. It's just great for adding a "little something" to an otherwise blank background.

This card really has a classic Winnie the Pooh feel to me. I think it's the combination of the cream, pink and green. And then the text looks like it could be a page right out of the book. I love how the sentiment turned out, too. I combined a sentiment from the baby set with one from Signature Christmas and it turned out great. It really didn't matter that the fonts are different; it just really seems to work. At least for me it does:)

so cute!
What a great idea to add the duck to the stocking. Such a sweet card. It will be pretty in blue too. Loved the pixs of Olivia. Sometimes I miss the great times when my kids were young. Enjoy them while you can.

Jennifer, I have only just seen this wonderful card! I actually went back to the 'baby Julian' post to see if Julian was really a girl, lol! But I know some December babies at the hospital would love to get this card!! It's wonderful, and I may make a few boy ones as well as girl ones, lol!!
This is absolutely gorgeous! What an amazingly clever idea! (Just wishing I knew a baby that I could make a card like this for now! :0)
