Little Acorn

Well, our lights stayed on Monday night, but tonight is another scary windy night! The wind is really howling out there, so I'm going to make this a quick post...before the lights go out on me!

Tonight I am sharing a little acorn shaped card I made for Purple Onion Designs:

This was really easy to make. I used my oval Spellbinder die for the base and a circle die for the top. I cut the top in half and used a scalloped border punch along the edge. I then stamped the top with the Vintage Damask Background and stamped the bottom with the new Thanksgiving Noteblock set. The Noteblock stamps are so fun and versatile! I'm dreaming up all kinds of ways to use them on my next batch of Christmas projects!

Finally, a little tag, twine and a button (of course!) finished it all off:

Okay, I'm off to bed before the lights go out! Have a safe, warm night!

Stamps: Vintage Damask Background, Thanksgiving Noteblock, Autumn Blessings from Thanksgiving Feast Sentiment Set (Purple Onion Designs)
Paper: Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream, Kraft (PTI)
Ink: Dark Chocolate, Fresh Snow, Vintage Touch Chai & Chamomile (PTI), Creamy Caramel (SU!)
Other: Tag Trio die (Spellbinders), Ripe Avocado vintage button (PTI), twine, foam mounting tape (3M), Stardust pen (Sakura)

Oh! I love it! What machine do you use/recommend for your Nestabilities and other die cuts or embossing? :)

How very creative of you. I love this idea and your card is beautiful. The acorn is one of my favorite fall images.
